Community Health Needs Assessment

A Community Health Needs Assessment (CHNA) provides an opportunity for non-profit hospitals to identify needs and resources within the community. With the passage of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (ACA) enacted on March 23, 2010, conducting a CHNA is now part of the requirement for hospitals to retain non-profit status.
